I know that soreness isn't always an indicator of a good workout but I have been doing different ab workouts twice a week for a couple months and there was only one time when I was sore. Thoughts?

Leg lifts 3x20
Jackknife sit up 3x15

Cut the volume in half and focus more on contracting the abs. Try not to let the hip flexors contribute to the movements and use a 4-2-4 rep timing. You’re doing way more than you need to for abs, and some movements (like weighted Russian twists) are downright dangerous. -3X
