I'm not sure what this is, but its kind of like a hammer strength. How do you guys think it would be for shoulder development? I did one set on it today and it felt pretty good.

that will work your front delt just fine. Think of it like an overhead press.

Yeah I feel it pretty well on the front delt, just curious if subbing it in instead of a type overhead bb press would be beneficial from time to time. Just actually started using machines a bit and I'm finding some I really like

From my understanding free weights are the way to go and some consider the OHP to be a secondary compound lift
