Wrists on Dumbbell Vs. Barbell15790

Was wondering if dumbbells are any easier on your wrists than barbells are? I've had a few people tell me that when they switched to dumbbell only, that their wrist pain went away

Well, one can't handle as much weight with dumbbells so therefore it should be easier on the wrists.

When i was having wrist pain i would use DB to bench instead of a BB and it helped a bit. Being able to angle your wrist whatever way you'd like helps a lot.

It probably has more to do with how you position your wrists and elbows when you lift. As @Rawsteel said, switching to dumbbells with mean you're using less weight so that might help for a while, but if you give your wrists some rest and learn how to use a barbell properly, you shouldn't have a problem. Basically, I don't think you should give up barbells only because your wrists hurt.
