hey i know he says not to change anything but in one of his vids he said you could leave out the shrugs and skull crushers what i was wondering was if you can leave out the rows and curls on workout B and just do Chin Ups

* also is it necessary to do the 2 sets of Good Mornings or can they be left out

A
Squats 5x5
Bench Press 5x5
Bent Over Row 5x5
Chin Ups 3x8
Good Mornings 2x10 *
Crunches 3x10

B
Squats 5x5
Deadlift 1x5
Standing Press 5x5
Close Grip Bench Press 3x8
Chin Ups 3x8
Crunches 3x10

Oh my bad. I would just leave it how it is man. Its a pretty solid 5x5 template.

thanks as you can see its a lot of volume and i just wondered if i could get away with just doing chins instead of rows and curls as don't they hit the same muscle groups anyway ?

No. Don't replace rows and curls with chins

You already know the answer to this because you clearly stated that Jason doesn't recommend any alterations to his program. Run it as he has it, or do something else that won't give you results. It's pretty cut and dry.

Agreed with @NorIda he'd have a for if he thought u tried to change his program.
I do however think they have been updated since on his juggernaut channel.
Also these workouts can be alternated each day as I believe that was his intent.
NOT to select one over the other !!

hey yes i know the workouts are to be done like ABA BAB same as stronglifts and his novice program is still the same but he did say the Skull Crushers and Shrugs in workout A could be left out at around 2:40

but my question is wouldn't chin ups basically do the same job as the rows and curls in workout B

@d11m Your biceps will fail before your back will, continually leaving your back without getting a full workload. Do chin ups all day till you can't do them any more and your back will always be ready for more. Work them separately if you want to develop them each fully.

Short answer NO, chin's are a vertical pulling movement and rows are a horizontal pull... 2 completely different movements.
