Which is better for cutting down body fat? A 4 day split or a 5 day split.

My split now is:

Chest n Biceps
Legs n Abs
Back n Traps
Shoulders n Triceps

The routine I am thinking about is as follow:

Push/Pull/Legs/Push/Pull

Chest n Triceps
Back n Biceps
Hams
Shoulders n Traps
Quads

Or

Chest n Triceps
Quads
Hams
Shoulders
Back n Biceps

Or

Chest
Legs
Arms
Back
Shoulders

My goals is to get to 195lbs-198lbs. I'm currently 211lbs due to stress of something major. I hit cardiovascular 3 times a week 30-45mins each.i eat real good my genetics are Endomorph and Meshmorph

@HardBody i think he tries to say that diet is the most important in terms of dropping body fat.

No routine is going to be better or worse for losing body fat. That all comes down to calories in vs. calories out. That's it- nothing else. Some routines will lend themselves to retaining more lean body mass if your nutrition is appropriate. I would run a basic PPL, and nothing that ever in any way tries to separate quads and hams. They work synergistically to stabilize the knee. Separating them is pointless. -3X

Well, how many calories are you eating?

And I mean that none of those variations are going to change how much weight you lose.

I would read the FAQ thread if you haven't already.

You can run PPL so that you're hitting them twice a week most weeks. PPLPP/LPPLP/PLPPL/etc... -3X

@eknight here what I see with the ppl. I see some people doing 4 or 5 exercises for chest and 3 or 4 for shoulders and 2 or 3 for triceps.

Back i normally see about 6 for back and 2 or 3 for biceps

I mean it's not a well structured routine. Read the "Routine Design For Dummies," thread that is at the top of the list of threads on the forum. -3X
