Just curious if anyone has ever done this type of training while bulking, thinking about trying it in 6 months or so

In a nutshell

* 1 working set per muscle group

* use your 8rep max but get 11-15 reps
Total using 2 rest pause sets

* workouts are broke down into a and b,
3 workouts per week

* set of 20 after your max effort set
On certain exercises like squats

* keep an exercise until you don't
progress on it then throw it out
And choose another.

I did it 2 years ago? Really enjoyed it if I'm honest, the gains were pretty decent as well.

You just need to ensure you have access to plenty of variations, that's one reason why I no longer do it, as I changed gym.

It utilizes the smith machine a lot as you will be doing a shit ton of paused reps. A lot of training till failure.

Sounds pretty brutal. I like it and may give something like that a try. And when I say that. I probably mean I'll do a couple rest pauses and drop sets next workout. Haha

@csizemore21 aye for sure. Is there a link or a page that you guys are using as a drop dead template? After my birthday (28th) I'm gonna test all my 1RM's so I can get accurate percentages for my next program.
