Done it, and stopped because it was a strength proooogreeeem. But since im still a beginner i moved onto sumn else.
EDIT: It gets boring. Did it for 14 weeks. ehhh 9 weeks in i didn't enjoy it at all. Accessory exercises help but some days i just wanted to do sumn else.

@timmothyGen

What do you mean? what kinds of excercises did you want to do that would have been fun?

I like this layout, way better than starting strength, it was very boring to get thorough.

I don't follow a routine made by a guy I don't respect.

Well the routine is fine i give it a good job no doubt. But it will get repetitive and boring like starting strength. It's got all the big exercises like Bench dl squat. Then accessory work. Idk if starting strength had accessory work but if you could add it it would be the same as ICF 5x5 Jason Blaha

@DFMaster240 looks like a solid routine for size and strength. Love the frequency.

@TimmothyGen a routine like this or starting strength is exactly what you want to do as a beginner!

That just looks like a modified version of starting strength and SL 5x5. It just has some of the accessory work included in the routine when in the other routines its optional.

Starting strength and SL 5x5 are solid programs for anyone, not just beginners. If you started the program and get bored before you even start to plateau than your not doing it right. If you have run through the program and have plateaued a few times then wanting to switch programs is understandable.

Try it out if you want mang. Whatever will make it fun for you because that is what it is all about. Consistency and sustainability is more important than being on a specific program.

Great! Thanks guys.

Quick question, squatting heavy 3x a week can be very taxing, plus the other compound excercises. Would it be a good idea to have a somewhat light squat day on wednsday? Like takeoff only 15-25 lbs of the regular working weight?

Ok, cool thanks! I'll add a light squat day when the weight starts to get really heavy, and i feel that it is too taxing.

Bro, did you start phat up again? Because I remember you running it about a year ago? If so, what made you go back to it?
