I've recently started my cut for about two weeks now, and recently, i caught the flu and i've been taking (my 4th) day off from the gym. My question is, in terms of my calories right now, (2200 cals) a day (-500 deficit), should i increase my cals up to maintenance or keep eating at a deficit?

If you have the flu, my advice would be to make that the priority. Don't short-change yourself and give your body the best environment to recover in.

Flu symptoms can make maintenance a challenge. Lots of liquids, manage what you can get down (and keep down) and don't make counting a top priority, once you fully mend, you'll be able to go back to your cut plan.
