High Volume day for Chest/Arms Hypertrophy,

Would like to do Chest in the a.m., Arms in the p.m.

So...two 20 minute sessions? My thoughts are, "why?"

Edit- I don't mean that to sound like an ass. I'm honestly asking if it's a time crunch issue or you just want to feel fresher or if it's something else. -3X

My entire routine is 60 minutes. My chest workout is exhaustive and I would like to come in fresh for arms. This is a PHAT workout designed by Layne Norton (I think I got it from SS).

(all with dumbbells)
Flat bench - 6 sets - light - low-rep
Incline - 3 sets - high rep
Flat bench - 3 sets - higher weight - high reps
Incline flyes - 2 sets - high reps

then, biceps (7 sets) and triceps (7 sets)

I love this workout and have pushing all the way through each week, but wondering if freshness in the evening would be beneficial or detrimental.

I do have a complete gym in my garage, so time is not a factor. Also, I'm thinking of just taking a 5 min break in between chest and arms to "catch my breath".

I guess I don understand your approach. I ran that routine and don't recall it ever taking me even an hour. To address your question, though, there's nothing wrong with it. -3X
