Dropping the PHAT8119

Well I am going to start my first log starting monday.
I will be running PHAT while cutting. Hopefully ill be able to keep most of my mass!

Starting stats:
6'3
230lbs around 25-30%bf
Looking to get to around 200lbs

Starting lifts
Bench 250lb 1rm
Squats 270lbs 1rm
Deadlift 325lbs 1rm


I know my squat is low. Sadly I was one of those guys that neglected legs for so long!

I was expecting a rant on how Phat is too much volume!

Good luck dude! Phat is a great routine, if your diet is in check you'll get great results =)

I know im not the strongest guy on here but im making huge improvements!

Pendlay rows 3x5
2 plates, 3 plates, 3 plates

Pullups 2x6
I use the assisted machine due to only being able to do 1 at bodyweight lol

Chinups 2x6

205lbs, 205lbs, 225lbs

Bodyweight

80lbs, 85lbs

Shoulder press 3x6
115lbs, 135lbs, 155lbs

i've dropped from 294lb down to 242 ( put 8lb back on with not training for a couple of months and let my diet slip )

Ive kept my carbs in my diet pretty high and still feel strong, but I am still dropping weight!

What do you guys think I should drop to on this cut? Personally I dont give a shit about abs so im think maybe to 200 then just maintain till I become a solid 200.

Instead of of focussing on cutting to 200, maybe set a goal body fat % then maybe maintain from there.

tbh if i stay at 244 and look good, i'm happy,
i reckon i'd look solid at 200 though, another 44lb off !! lol, sounds like a lot

it aint about the scales though dude, it's what you see in the mirror IMO anyway !
