Dear All,

I´ve recently experienced some chest pain after my pec workout:

incline bench 3 sets
superset: dips, DB flat flys, DB flat press, pushups to failure X3
guillotine press 3 sets

It seems to hurt the most when I do dips.

Any of you have experienced anything similar?
Any suggestions?

@DonPeri I know what you mean witg tegard to dips, I dunno what it is but I just got on with it and now have no troubles, but if yoyrs is really painful then I would see a doctor

I feel pressure directly on my sternum on decline bench. As far as dips go, I used to feel it a bit, but I started making my first 5 reps or so really slow so I get a good stretch no matter where I do it in my workout. No problems since. If it continues though get with your doc.

I used to have it, but I don't got it anymore.
I just noticed it, like a small tension every once in a while, but if it is really painful, then I don't know what you should do =(

Thanks Guys

The pain is getting better by the hour.
Doing a little cardio has also helped.

I still feel it when I do dips (even without added weight), so I actually avoid them.
Any alternatives you might recommend?

Have you tried the seated weighted press down/dip machine instead of actual dips?

I haven´t. I workout at home you see. So I do my dips between kitchen counters, with a heavy ass backpack full of books.

Maybe I´ll follow your suggestion by doing it on a chair´s arms.
