Just playing around with my fitness pal and was curious if anyone actually measured this or knows a rough est.

Its going to have marginal variables but would be interesting to see

I measured it once:

Hypertrophy days - 7.7cal/min (I rest 90s between sets)
Power days - 9.35cal/min (I rest about 2-4min between sets)

I was about 160lb when I measured it.

(One thing to note - On power days, I walk on the treadmill at 5km/h between sets, so you might burn the same amount as hypertrophy days. I ussually work on 7cal/min while doing PHAT)

It's not as scientific as you might think.

I used a polar heart rate monitor, which calculates calories burned using weight, fitness level, heart rate, age etc.

I calculated both power and hypertrophy days twice and used the average.

Polar has been shown to be fairly accurate in calculating calories burned.
