Ive seen this video before. He is actually doing bench press only on the right pecs on purpose. The main issue why he is doing this is because his chest is uneven. His left pec is bigger than the right.

i dont know. Maybe its easier to lift heavy weights on barbell than dumbell. If you use heavy weights on dumbell you might fall because its not balance if your not holding weight on your left.
