I dont know if I am the only one, but for the first year I lifted I ABSOLUTELY HATED leg day I would try to avoid it at all cost.
But as I have progressed in the last few months through phat something started to change. I started to like leg day?

Last night I was so freaking pumped for lower power day and I though WTF leg day is my favorite day now! so I went ahead and set a pr 365x3 (disclaimer* I still get jacked up for upper power day also)

anyone else had a similar experience?

Same thing has happened to me.

Absolutely, I used to hate legs until I realized that I had
1) good leg genetics
2) I was pretty damn good at squat
3) squat helped deadlift

this! I think squat has edged out bench as my favorite lift
now if I could only learn to dead lift better...

I do, I just worry about form before I try to go balls out. I broke my back two years ago so I want to have solid form. I have done 405 a few times but the heavier I go the worse my form gets

though it is getting better thanks to numerous thread on here

Pfft... Broken back.. Likely excuse!

Kidding!

Form is super important, I dont blame you for focusing on it! Especially with previous back injuries! 405 is plenty! haha

squats are by far my favourite exercise; hard to find a feeling when you try a PR and achieve it on squat

There is this one dude at my gym. Insanely ripped but built skinny guy, no legs. WHATSOEVER. Ex-Basketball player. Feels bad man, he was looking at me weird while I was doing speed squats. Feels bad man.

It's a mental thing...the feeling of knowing you've increased in leg strength / watching the size of your legs grow. Also, once you really get into bodybuilding, you finally realize that legs are extremely important and if you ever plan on competing they will make or break your physique. Essentially, without shredded legs, the rest of your hard work is useless. I think it's this realization of them being a necessity that allows legs to finally become "enjoyable".

I love leg workouts now, feel like I progress more with them than any other. If you don't feel light headed towards end of workout or fall on your face getting out of bed for atleast the next 2 days I consider it a bust
