Squats/Deads5485

Now i no everyone has a difference in strength between the two. I squated 85kg 3x3 and struggled today but I threw in some deads and I havent done these in ages. I mean a good year or so; I done 100kg 3x3 and could of gone heavier so its quite a big strength gap. Anyone have this problem and found a solution ? Btw running PHAT so my squats will go up slowly but I no my deads will go up alot more and quite quickly

I made a new split man. Mondays for power day, i do back, biceps and hams. I added deads there and i give max effort 3*3.
Tues, squats, leg presses, extension, calves, chest, shoulders and tri.

That split actually allowed me this week reach new pr for both deads and squats rather than doing them both same day.

Otherway around for me. My max squat is 200kg x5 and my stiff leg deadlift is 160kg x6 but turn it its because my grip is really weak. Got straps and its going much better.

I hit squats and stiff leg deadlift 2x a week, but going to incorporate normal deadlifts as I havnt done them in ages wither

Ideally your strongest lift should be your deadlift, then squat, then bench press.

The perfect ratio would be 5:4:3 (dead:squat:bench)

I can deadlift more than my squat, but my squat and bench are about the same. So my ratios are not perfect.

My DL is only slightly higher than my squats. lol.

But I have def focused on Squats more than Deads.

Leg raises everyday 12 sets 20-25 reps. And drop deadlift you will be sooooo ripped!

Okay, okay. You're ripped, SO you must know what you're talking about. I will do hanging leg raises, and captain chair raises, and maybe even some upside down cable crunches with my legs. haha =)

Quick question, seeming as I'm only an inch taller than you ( Alex/Norlda ) Whats your stance when squatting? Wide, Close, Feet pointed outward and so on because even though I no I will get stronger I cant see how I will ever get up to even 150kg with the way I'm struggling with 85kg.

The best Way I can describe it.. Is I stand as if I were going to Jump Vertically. So right around shoulder width. Toes pointed slightly out

My feet are only a touch wider than shoulder width and my toes are slightly pointed outwards.

Its all about the hard work and your mindset. I was in a wheelchair and couldnt walk for 9+ months, my legs were the size of my arms. I could only squat like 50kg when I started, but with commitment, sacrifice and the will to push yourself beyond your limit you can achieve whatever you want. From a wheelchair to squatting 200kg seemed impossible at the time, but I never let that stop me.

Put your mind to it and force your body to cooperate.
