Hey SS! I am starting P.H.A.T. on Monday. What things would you like to know now that you didn't know then? Literally could be anything!

SWEET pumped for you that your trying PHAT man... IT is an AMAZING workout protocol. My all time fav.

Tips:
1- You can customize it too fit your needs but make smart substitution. For ex- don't substitute like barbell curls for concentrations curls. Understand?
2- Go HAM on powerdays, and on Hypo days don't take to failure but still lift heavy.
3- Always try to progress in weight. I like sticking to the lower number on powerday, and the higher number it recommends on hype.
4- hmnnnnn what else....... Just be ready to get swoll hahahahhah!!!!!! If I think of something I will for sure come back and post buddy

I think it's quite important to keep a distinction between weight on power days and weight on hypertrophy days.

Yah, Layne's plan didn't mention any distinct trap work so I am thinking about devoting one of the rest days for Abs and Traps.

But does your example mean don't substitute any isolation exercises for compound ones?

Also side note - I have read the article twice and made notecards for the workout itself. I have a through understanding of it. I am doing it because of Layne's need to beef up his legs!

Awesome man, I'm on week 8 now and still setting pr's every workout.

Tips:
Take your time on power days and get proper rest between sets. Then you're ready to go heavy every set.

Like you said, make time for abs in the program.

I keep a proper log every workout and with power days I make sure that I either do more reps or heavier weight.

(For android guys, have a look at Jefit Pro. Awesome app)

How long would you say your power days are on average? I got to plan around classes. Would 1.5 hours be sufficient?

1.5 hours should be enough.

Mine are usually around 1h20min, but my last session went 1h45min.

Awesome! Now would any of yall change your supplementation for certain power or hypo days? Like not take a pre-workout?
