incline d/bell: 8 x 3
flat bench: 10 x 3
hammer strength press decline: 8 x 3
crossovers: 12 x 4
dips: 12 x 3

include a few drop set in too

interested in try something different

i try to keep everything under 8 reps for most exercises. if you want to gain some brute strength, you also got to do some 5x5. squatting, deadlifting and benching 5x5 can immensely up the work weights. but in the end, i found out it doesn't matter how many reps you do, but how much you're pushing. I don't like this metrosexual Zyzz guy but he certainly did say something that changed my lifting. If you set your reps at 8, and you can do more than 8, then do more! Don't give up until your mind says "seriously fuck dude, I am done." cuz it's mind over body, and most of times you can actually rep out couple more. of course, this takes hell of determination, but that's what lifting should be isn't it.

Fly pec machine 2 sets of 8-12 reps. Each rep is 5sec concentric and 5 sec essentric - fuck they burn

Did the follow routine yesterday...I change er up every week

Barbell Bench Press (x3 + 1 drop set)
Incline Dumbbell Press (x2 + 1 drop set)
Incline Hammer Press (2 drop sets)
Flat Bench Fly (3 sets)
Pushups (as many sets needed to get to 50)>>> trust me its hard when youre burnt out and keeping good form!

Jesus Christ all of you do so much for your chest.

4 x flat DB bench press
4 x decline CG bench press (which is really for tri strength, chest is just a biproduct)

Making great gains every session doing just that so that is all I do.

@mrm it's inevitable. i think i will never meet a guy in my life who hates doing chest workout day. the feelings of its contraction on exertion is... orgasmic, different than shoulder contraction or leg contraction.

@eventheodds1 "in real life" is the keyword. haha nah jk. personally back used to be my second least favorite after shoulders, but now i haven't been getting good back workouts consecutively so it's my least favorite now. you know those days when you know you didn't do that hot on the workout, that's my back day. If you got some sick suggestions let me know.

Well the main reason for me is, I feel like my Back is so much stronger than my chest (workout wise). Also I m pretty skinny, therefore pressing movements are not my suite, pulling in the other hand works great. I get good pumps after a back workout and feel like a millionaire walking out of the gym.

@eventheodds1 you feel this way because you are lifting a good amount of weight at the gym so you look cool at the gym and the other guys dont think you are a pussy while doing back exercises. But when it comes to chest exercises you look like a pussy struggling with one plate....am i right? im not tryin to be a dick but thats how i was when i was like a sophomore in high school. My back was a lot stronger than other parts and i could do good weight so i felt like a badass at the gym hahaha

@Zyzzst Lmao yesterday this is what happened.

SO, I was doing PHAT Day 1. Workout on the list was DB chest Press. I am 136 lbs. I did 60lbs DB 5 times fine. SO, I went to 65 lbs DBS (They look massive when a skinny guy picks it up btw). When I was on the flat bench, I saw through the mirror like tons of folks staring at me ready to bust my shit. SAD did it 5 times quality reps aswell. I thought let me try 70lbs next. Looked at the mirror, "Folks in their mind, "Oh snaps he will fail miserably".

Sad Proved them wrong again did it five times. Next session Ima go to the BIG BOY Dumbbell Section at my gym with dbs 80+lbs.

@eventheodds1 hahahah this is awesome...i remember when i first went to the gym my max was 95 pounds on bench....yesterday i set a new PR of 280 and i did it easy so i bet i can do more....incredible what the human body can become hahah

@Massthetics Well I primarily do about 2-3 sets and finish with a separate drop set. So it's actually 4 sets. And everything is usually to failure

- you cannot shape your chest, that is genetics
- DOMS does not equal muscle gains

@MrMailliw im aware of that...but doms are a good indication of growth and are a side effect of training. but its just a bit of closure for myself knowing i did a good workout.



@BearQ did the push up thing at the end this morning and im pretty f e c k e d haha, except i did clap push ups then went to normal pushups
