There are so many variable to consider. We can't even begin to give a good assessment with that little of information

@NorIda
Fuck that I can :P
Perfect form + progressive tension overload + caloric surplus + enough rest = growth!

You might also try to pre-fatigue your arms by doing several tricep exercises before doing the bench press.

As long as your form is good, you'll be doing fine. It's virtually impossible not to hit your chest when pressing.

I feel it a little more in the tricep and shoulder area when bench pressing.

Widening your grip will probably put you at more of a risk for having a pec tear.

Personally I find bench isn't a good mass builder for me, my shoulders and tris take most of the weight. For chest I like flys

AOak and Jusu have it right exactly!

I had the same problem bro. Typically your front delts fatigue before your chest, so you aren't quite putting up as much weight/reps as your chest can probably handle. Pre-fatiguing my chest with flys was suggested (either in an article or here in the forum, can't remember exactly) and I have had awesome results since I've started my chest rountine with that.

To pre-fatigue I do 3 sets of cable crosses and 3 sets on the pec dec before hitting my DB bench at different angles, and so on. It might help shock your muscles with that new routine into some serious growth. Good luck and report back!
