|any1 who has done phat knows about these but tbh when i did it i substituted it with barbell rows.
right now i do reverse barbell rows and pulldowns 2x week for back and seeing good gains in strength and size and i actually get sore every time which is new to me for lats.
but on my rows i cant get to 90 degrees as the weight is going up each workout. i looked at vids of pendlay rows and noticed you pretty much have to be at 90 degress to do em.
iv heard good things about them and am thinking of substituting underhand rows with pendlays
what are benifits of pendlay rows. layne says they are more of a power movement but doesnt go into too much detail.
even if they are more of a power movement that would be cool coz im on lyles upper lower where the first too excersises are focusing on lower reps being either 5s r 6to8. i do 6to8 for the most part.
i think would bad thing is that u deads top at the bottom of the movement which takes tension off your back. am i wrong here?
anyway give me your thoughts on this excersise and your results or advice etc.
