I am 5 weeks into PHAT and only me legs get sore, I have yet to get sore in my upper body (yes I lift hard) I am coming of HRT training where I was sore as crap after each day.

what my question is, does soreness equate growth?
do other doing Phat get sore?

DOMS does not equal growth. I don't get sore much from upper body days but I do from leg days still. -EK

Just lactic acid build up, is that right? Nothing to do with gains.
Still, I like the feeling of sore muscles the day after, makes me feel like I hit that muscle goooood.

Negative. Technically the human body doesn't produce actual lactic acid. It produces lactate, but even there, increases in lactate concentration doesn't result in DOMS or any kind of acidosis. delayed onset muscle soreness. Lactate can't donate a proton to create acid, thus the acidic form of lactate (lactic acid) isn't actually produced in muscle. That's a myth. -EK
