My upper/lower routine17789

Hi guys,

I've read the sticky "Routine Design for Dummies 1.0"
I've make a simple routine,what do you think?Need suggestions...


Upper A (strenght oriented)

Flat Bench press 5x5
Incline Bench 4x6
Weighted pull up 4x6
T-Bar Row 4x6
Seated Cable row 3x8-10
Military press 3x5-7
Barbell Curl 3x8
Close grip bench press 3x8
Face pull 4x15

Lower A(strenght)
Squat 5x5
Deadlift 3x5
Leg press close feet 3x8-10
Leg curl 4x8-10
Claf raises
Shrugs 3x8-10

Upper B
DB Bench press 4x8-10
Incline DB press 4x8-10
Bent over row 3x8-10
Lat pull down reverse grip 3x8-10
Chest supported Machine Row 3x8-10
Shoulder press supersetted Lateral Raises 3x8+10
Incline DB curl 3x10
Overhead tricep extension 3x10
Face Pull 4x15

Lower B
Squat 4x8
Lunges 3x10
Stiffed leg Dealift 3x10
Leg curl 3x10
Calf+Shrugs

Great that you read the sticky. Your routine isn't as big of a mess, as what you often see from first-time-posters here.

But your Upper A has a completely unnecessary amount of pushing volume. I'd suggest that you, at the very least, cut the close-grip benchpressing out. Your triceps will (and should) be very well worked through at this point in your workout already, so you're likely just cutting further into your recovery needs, without actually getting much, if any benefit.

Then ill replace the Close grip bench with a skullcruscher or a tricep pushdown.

Its enough?

I really dont think you need ANY more tricep work in that session.

Guess it would also make sense if you moved shrugs from your lower strength day to your upper

I would personally drop inclines in favor of a triceps extension, so you can sufficiently hit the triceps long head. Agree that shrugs should be with upper. -3X

Do you mean Incline bench press?Even in upper body B?
