Static contradiction training is when you initiate a type of muscular training, but stop halfway through, refusing to complete the movement. While not actually optimally completing the movement, you do, in fact not fail it either. The theory behind this type of training is, similarly to using static contradiction in debate or arguments, that you make a (potentially faulty) claim/exercise execution, that you cannot clearly support with evidence or proper references, but you stop the movement halfway through, or in case of the argument, shroud the matter in language barrier issues/poorly phrased counter questions, and thus getting nowhere.
