I was going to start the floor press for my next push day. I was wondering if anyone had experience with this exercise. Should I stick with a 3-6 rep range?

@_RudeCrew yeah I must have not been paying attention lol I was wondering if I should stick to a 3-6 rep range since it's really for increasing strength

its used to train the 'second half' of the press.

Something else you could do is board presses. This

Basically do these if your bench stalls from about half way or up.

You can do them with however many reps you want. Just make sure to progressively overload the weight each workout. You can do 6 reps every time for a year just make sure you are adding weight each time. If you are not adding weight, then you are either increasing reps, or decreasing rest times. However you can measure is the way that will work best

@Jsn3004 that rep range is fine. Just do what you need to do to get stronger.

@Jsn3004 your proposed rep range sounds good. I'm a fan of 3 sets of 5 with a heavy but still reasonable weight.

@mikew thanks, I tried it today after doing 7 sets of 3 of 245 with a minute rest in between.
Doing this again for sure. I feel this can greatly help me
