Here we go again folks, But instead of a nutrition pyramid like the last series of videos Eric is doing this series in terms of Training, workout design, stressers, volume and so on...

Should be great.

I like listening to this guy even if his lectures go for a tad long. But the theory is well worth listening to! and this applies to anyone who wants to train at their BEST.

@qtdreams92 Eric is a legend. Incredibly knowledgable and is 1 of the 3DMJ coaches and coaches alot of people most notably people like matt ogus for years and Bryce Lewis who is in the top3 93kg US powerlifters and a very good coach himself.
Not only that had like 2 PHD's, competitive bodybuilder and powerlifter.
Check out his Nutrition Series it was enlightening to say the least.

His lectures are a "tad long" because almost everything he says is important.

@qtdreams92 From what I grasp he's compiling his info in each section separately and then recording/editing the video and uploading it then moving on to the next one.
He hasn't recording all of them together at same time.
That's why u can see he has an update on the last because he found more info as he was compiling info for the next stage !!
😁
That and 50shades is just socially accepted porn for aul 1's. Haha.

I feel like I stalled in strength/progress for some body parts. I'm making a public announcement so I am more likely to follow thru. Tomorrow I'm going to start training body parts multiple times per week. Lol

That upper scheme seems unbalanced from a standpoint of shoulder health. Eric is a knowledgeable guy. Would love to get in touch with him and ask his reasoning on this. -3X

Yea! and why so many leg extensions?

Perhaps they're the standing variety- the kind that allow co-contraction of the hamstrings. -3X

I noticed that too. The only thing I can think of is that he said it is just an example that he threw together. Maybe he was just trying to show how a program would look hitting all of the muscle groups with his prescribed sets/reps/frequency.

Kind of strange that there is no rear delt work like face pulls in there and a pretty strong lack of rowing outside of 7 total sets.

well i think most people would be thinking 'sitting down machine type' when they see leg extension. not the standing one you recommends?

But another question @eknight would you say the standing hamstring curl is better than the lie down curl? we have machines for each at our gym.

I think this is true!!
He was just using the 'program' as an example.

@qtdreams92 depends on the type of prone machine. If it's the kind that has a slight bend, like this:

then the prone one is a better choice, because starting in slight hip flexion allows for a greater stretch and contraction. Likewise, if you have a seated leg curl, that's your best option, because of the greater hip flexion at the starting position. -3X
