Hey guys just wondering what type of Cue's you use for different lifts? I just started using some for my back workout and feel like they have REALLY helped. Interested in what other people use for any lifts.

By cues do you mean little reminders to yourself when doing certain exercises?

My fav one by far is 'always keep head in the neutral position'. My osteopath would make me scrunch my hand and put it between my chin and my chest. Thats the neutral place for my head to be in. This 'cue' works excellent for squats especially because it is so tempting to throw the head back.

I have a bunch but the most important are:

stay tight, squeeze the bar, squeeze glutes, big air, engage the lats, move the bar fast

Was more referring to the mental cues such as crushing a can between your shoulder blades or pushing someone away with your elbow on lat pulldowns

Squat:
-3points of contact with ur feet, twist the ground apart !
-Elbows inside hands
-Squeeze ur elbows together
-Big air
-Squeeze ur core like ur prepping for a punch in the stomach.

bench press
-Squeeze my shoulders blade
-keep a good arch
-make sure my feet are firmly planted
-make sure the bar is correctly placed on my palms

Plank - imagine theres a big spike and hot coals under me.
Pull-ups - there is a quest bar waiting for me at the top, but only if i touch my rib age with my elbows.
Overhead press - knuckles facing UP, treat the dumbells like pompoms.
Romanian dead lift - be a human scissor. Picture your hips is attracted towards the bar fast because there is a magnet on your belt.

Another good one is I imagine the weights are my children. The gym floor is made of lava and I need to pull my kids to safety as they yell "mommy" at me.
