Please help! Torn ACL! Need exercise advice16520

So I just found out that I tore my acl. I am worried I am going to lose a majority of the muscle I've put time into getting. Is there anyone who might be able to help out with some good exercises so I don't lose it all. I know I can still do upper body but is there anything I can do for lower body?

Please help!

Yes- get surgery, listen to your physical therapist, don't do anything extra because a revision surgery is even worse, and realize that 6 months of off time doesn't mean squat over the course of a lifetime of lifting. Good luck. -3X

Agreed, rest now and heal properly. I have heard many stories of re-injury and worse for ware after. Listen to the doctor and follow advise. Work your way back in slowly and always treat with cold after to avoid inflammation from building up. The knee has sch little blood flow to begin with, you do not want to obstruct that unnecessarily.
