One week is more focused on strength and the other one is pure hypertrophy.

@FiremanSi I am on my fifth week of L/P/P so I will probably do it 2 - 3 weeks mode before deload. How did you lift when you where deloading ? Anything diffrent ?

And Happy Easter to all those who celebrate it

I don't deload, after 4 weeks i take 5 days off.
In my earlier years i barely never deloaded or took time off but i've noticed that this is something that becomes more and more important the longer you lift and the older you get.
For me it's not my central nervous system that needs a break but my joints, tendons, ligaments etc.
If i go on 6-8+ weeks today i most certainly end up with some small injury or some old one starts breaking my balls again.
Usually it's my shoulders that starts messing with me if i don't take time off now and then.

Yep..

@FiremanSi Thanks for the help !

@Rawsteel I feel my wrist and knee are hurting again so I guess deload would be the smart thing to do.

Or take 4-5 days completely off, if you deload you will still aggrovate your knee/wrist.

I do similar to rawsteel. I can't go to the gym and lift half ass weight. It's not my style its mentally draining.

If I am achey I do a de active deload for a few days and get some rest. Smarter, not always harder.

I never really deload. I'll take 3-4 days off from all activity every few months if I feel like the weights are getting heavy and I'm not feeling it. Usually after a few days I'm ready to smash it again.
