Importance of rep range?15929

I'm sure this question has been asked countless times all over the internet but I rarely seem to find any definitive answer. How effective are sets of 3-5 in terms of inducing hypertrophy? I.e. are the results going to be significantly less than using around 10 reps or is the difference grossly over exaggerated? I ask because I despise higher reps on compound barbell lifts but thrive, in terms of strength gains, on triples, but am I leaving muscle gains on the table with this approach? My goals are not particularly skewed in terms of strength or hypertrophy, I just want to be bigger and stronger next year than I am today, without becoming a sloppy mess.

Sets of 3-5 have been shown to be just as effective for hypertrophy. -3X

Is that in conjunction with a set amount of volume or TUT? Because I have read some evidence that a high number of sets and low rest periods is necessary for optimal hypertrophy with low reps. Or is this simply not the case?
