Did my tidy-up hypo style day today. I'm training oly lifts most of the time but I'm planning on keeping an accessory type day in just to keep things balanced.

Was hard today after the toll yesterday took though.

Did 6x3 @40kg pull-ups which for me is shite.
Db row @60kg 8,8,6,6 also shite for me!
Plate loaded press machine for 6 sets
Lat raise- 10x15,15,15
Lat pulldown- whatever the stack weighed for 2 sets if ten.
And for vanity, a few curls and skulls.

Did a few db benches to open though. Gym was literally frozen, we've had snow in the uk, my hands were freezing on the db and I wasn't warm. Did these as a token nod to pushing for the day. Just worked up to a couple easy triples at 45.

Front squat- 60x8, 80x8, 100x5, 110x3, 120x3, 130x2, 140x1.
All felt really good too.

Then I did 4 sets of 8 db row at 60kg.
Some leg curls and abs.

Now I just want to eat and sleep!

Happy to see more guys giving Front Squats some attention! Nice work. Looking at the way you train I'm guessing you're doing Oly grip?

@tamere, cheers dude but I think it's just a mix of consistency and not mentally limiting myself. I've just done a few tens of thousands more pull-ups than most people! Probably done minimum 8 sets a week for the last 5 years, so it adds up!
I'm really enjoying the oly lifts, I quite like how unforgiving they are and how different your head has to be to do them. I sort of see it like powerlifting is a Viking- all bluster and rage. Oly lifting is sort of more samurai- precise and controlled.

@wannabe- I need to get used to holding more weight in the rack position, so I'm really quite enjoying them. And yeah, I'm doing them with a proper grip, not arms crossed. Getting way more used to it, just takes a few weeks to get used to.

Wanted to refrain from asking but screw it.. Whos that in the Nordic picture??

Also thinking of adding pullups after every session just to get better at them

Been a wierd week. Ended up spending most of it in a hospital with my grandma in an icu. She's on the mend now, moving off of intensive care.
So today was my first gym since Monday. Trained snatch.
Getting better at receiving the bar in a squat position.

30x5,5,5
40x3,3,3
45x3
50x2,2
55x2,2,2,2,2

Then I did some snatch grip high pull
95kgx2,2,2,2,2

Then some snatch grip deads
135kgx3,3,3

And some adductor work to finish with some adductor bridges then kettlebell Cossack squats.

Going to clean on Sunday. Enjoying watching my form develop each time I train, it's definitely a learning process.

Hope she gets better soon mate.

What are adductor bridges exactly? Tried googling it but a bunch of stuff come up.

Cheers dude.
I do them on an aerobics step. I put one inner knee on the step, the other leg in front of me and brace the elbow of the same side on the floor, I then do isometric holds in a side plank like position.

So I dissapeared again! But, good news, I've just bought my own rack and will have my own completely private setup in the warehouse from Tuesday onwards. This means I'll be able to film lifts and actually make this log interesting to read and to make.
