What to do exactly with this body... ?15132

Hi guys, last year lost a lot of weight like an idiot (2.5 months = 25 kilograms) because I was depressed by how fat I was. (No knowledge of macros and stuff like that - endless cardio and skipping eating). I ended up slim (everyone said I was not even close to fat) but I knew something was wrong - those people don't see me with my clothes off and I knew something was off when I look at myself in the mirror because when I do, I see someone fat.

The case might be a skinny fat situation + some excess skin = either my mind is playing tricks on me or I look like a non-clothes flabby and clothes slim-like aka skinny fat.

But I think I know for sure is that I am depressed and something is wrong. That's why I need your help. Stats are: 65-66 kilograms at 174 cm height, BF probably high but I will be including a picture for you to determine.


I want to be muscular and I don't want to be ashamed taking of my shirt and I want to not see someone who is flabby or skinny fat when I am naked. I have educated myself with the stickies ( for which I thank the authors) and I have all the concepts of how to break down the calories to my macros, how to create a diet and how to calculate my maintenance. For what I have read - I just calculate the calories, 1gr of protein per pound of body weight, 0,45gr fats per p/bw and rest carbs. I will be eating only whole foods so micros won't be a problem.


The help I want from you is to tell me if the situation is really bad as it is in my mind or I need to talk to someone just for encouragement. I want you guys to tell me what would be optimal for me: to cut; to bulk; to lean bulk or what ?

Please don't try to cut. Not as 66 kilos. You need to have the metabolic capacity to cut.

This will sound hokey, but I'd say you have to learn to love what you have rather than chasing the goal all the time. I used to train in my garage as a kid, and I learned to be happy with my progress rather than comparing myself to some external ideal. When I was training on my own I learned to appreciate and enjoy the process, and that's what this stuff is all about. You need to treat yourself from a health perspective, not a "what can I look like at any cost" perspective. The gains will come if you enjoy the training, and not obsess over being "perfect."

Guys, I am 17 and I am serious. As you can see I look like a flabby piece of ...dunno... pork ? I have a very high body fat percentage and don't know what to do...

@jasson333 dude just workout, stop thinking about your body stop looking in the mirror, stop being sorry for yourself in a negative way and let it be your motivation to hit the gym everyday, making love with them weights

wear big enough clothes to hide yourself in the mirror at gym and imagine how you want your body to look,whenever you look in the mirror imagine thats how you look and work towards it

gain knowledge on how to make things better for your diet and stop being sorry for yourself

and follow the wise advices these wise men giving you lol good luck brah

What about fat gain ? As you can all see, I have a good base of fat on top of which I will gain more. I think it would be awful. Any of you willing to tell me how to bulk correctly or lean bulking so I gain mass and stay the same bf and then would I look much better ? How to lean bulk ? How to know if I am doing it correctly ?

@Jophe yeah i meant self-image and you shouldnt be worry about the lil fat u mite gain, all of that will lose off after u have enough muscle to start cut

Its not about being a certain body fat its about how you see your own body. You look better than average and have a fine base, losing weight so quickly you could have marks, loose skin even some gyno. But you don't, you have body image problems. Everyone has given their advice, I suggest you talk to someone. Training isn't going to fix your problems you will just have the same view and insecurities in a better body .

Because I want to know in my mind that I am not. Lol, I am not obese but you cannot deny that I am flabby or a lil bit chubby. It is depressing to be even a lil bit flabby; skinny fat or chubby after you have gone through hell to lose some much weight.

You didn't answer me you simply said you don't want to look a certain way because you don't. Your not comfortable in your won skin, there is nothing wrong with looking a certain way, in the present you can't change that. Nothing wrong with wanting to change your body, everything wrong with hating it.

So, I should start a bulk, a lean one to minimize fat gain so -

Surplus of about 250 and about a 2 pounds per month gain and that's all I need to know ?

U've plenty of time to achieve the physique of ur dreams, the key point is to be happy with what u have and simply strive for better.
Plenty of people would kill to have ur physique as it stands.

You'd be surprised how much better you'd look if you bulked now instead of cut.

Think about it.. Go flex in the mirror. If you lost fat do you really think you'd look better than if you put on a good 20-30lbs of mass first? You wouldn't

eat like a Dog when you put human food I front of him. Then eat some more

Ok winter is coming, the bulking is going to happen. Just so that I put minimal fat gain ( I wanna make sure I bulk almost only pure muscle) A slight surplus and NO MORE than 2 pounds per month ?

@jasson333 I'd go for 3-4 if I was you. You'll make quick gains at first because your a noob. If you go that slow at first it will take a long time to see the results you want
