Hey guys,

My friend is a rugby player (The season has just started over here) and hes just joined the gym and doesn't have a clue what hes doing, He wants to get bigger to help him on the field.

I was looking into WS4SB but it looks like its an off season program, Can it be modified for an in season athlete? Or is there another program that could be better for now?

He has training Monday and Wednesday with games on Saturdays.

He has rugby training 2 days a week and a game 1 day. WS4SB version 1 and 2 had 3 days per week didn't they?

Hes untrained apart from his rugby trainings.

So wouldn't training 5 days a week and a game 1 day a week be too much for him? or would I just adjust the program to have lower intensity and volume?

Example- 135x15/225x5/275x5/working set---> 310x5. -3X
