Why absolutely chest & tris same day?13051

Do you guy find it necessary to do chest and tris the same day? .. I find it hard to workout tris after during chest.. my tris are totally fatigued after all those pressing movements, cant hardly press 80kg close grip.. but will press 5x5 90kg when doing it on back day..

Only time i've done this is during PPL on push day.

So depends on ur split.

nah i do chest on monday and tri and shoulders on thursday

i do chest and abs in the morning and triceps in the evening

Close grip isn't a very good triceps movement- because it is a pressing movement, and not an extension, it neglects the long head of the tris, which make up the meat of them. Problem solved. Train chest, then focus on elbow extension movements for triceps and forget about the amount of weight you're using. -3X

I am hitting chest and tris on the same day, but I am doing PPL as fireman says, depends on your split.

Flat bench wither it be db or bb 5x5
Decline db press 5x8

Then 2 tricep exercises

Normal a pushdown (Rope/v bar) 3x8
Then an extension exercise (Skullcrushers/overhead extension) 3x8

If I do tri and chest or push day. I just do 5 set of rope pushdowns.
