I personally prefer the false grip myself seen as this move is back in my program due to PHAT.

Interesting. I'm generally not a fan of False Grips, especially on pressing movements, but I may have to try this.

Increasing my OHP is a goal of mine during my next bulking phase!

i love false grip...i use it for all presses and most pulling exercises...avoids snapping my fuckin wrist all the time...
this guys info is usually pretty good but i good do without his stupid bicep shots...he barely lifts lol

I also always lift with a false grip, just feels more natural and a more power position for me.

Must say when i stopped OH pressing for a long long time and used the shoulder shocker exclusively i gained a lot of new shoulder muscle. But now that im healed, i just love the OHP too much to exclude it. But i have started putting it toward the end of the workout recently - using side lat raisers etc to pre~fatigue. Then imo the OHP is less likely to cause problems because youre moving less weight

@firemansi Great read! Band pull aparts are a life saver. I haven't done 100/day, which I might start doing. It doesn't sound like a bad idea. I OHP at least once a week cause I'm running 5/3/1, and pull aparts are an incredible warmup for those.

I'm curious Nor, how does your OHP compare to your bench press? What are your numbers? And what is your OHP goal?


OHP is my favorite move.
