Deadlift challenge :O10678

So I started this challenge forever ago and it never went anywhere. So here it is. Deadlift 315x18 (failed on 19) Full reset every rep. 149lbs. My goal is to get 25 before the end of summer. This is all I did today. It destroyed me. It felt fantastic! I started doing full reset at the beginning of summer. The last time I tried this I did 315x19 with touch and go. So progress is progress...



Gotta work in an hour and a half. If anyone wants to rejoin this challenge please feel free to do so, as I want to see where all of you guys are at! <3

Edit: Lukas ended the video right before I fell backwards and laid on the ground for a couple minutes trying to not pass out. I got a lot of funny looks! :P

Anyway, I see you're using a belt. Do you really need it for 315? Can we use wrist straps?

I use a belt because of my rib. It helps support it. You guys don't have to if you don't want to but for me it's personal safety. Quote:

You can use straps if you want. I just used a little bit of chalk since im trying to improve my grip strength.

I did 315 for 9 or 10 today. Last week only got it for six. Muscle memory still gettin my body back but ill be at this in no time. Btw your strength is amazing, good job. But question is, is the belt helping you?

It's possible. The last couple of days it's hurt to breathe for most of the day so I figured I would play it safe. Do what you want.

Haha well I have to use straps cuz my left thumb is jacked up and has a hairline fracture. Sucks to even grip a bar

I tried using it when they were here and it felt weird and didn't help me. When i use to use it back in the day + straps i was used to it and i was able to lift more

@Dirkenhiemer awesome work man, deadlift is my weakest lift (relatively, I can still dead more than squat and bench)
