What do you guys think of implementing periodization into a resistance training schedule?

Have been running PHAT for a long time now...can't even remember when I started.
A the moment I'm thinking of doing a 3 month schedule...broken up into 3 mesocycles...with 4 microcycles per phase
Week 1 - 12-14 reps
Week 2 - 10 reps
Week 3 - 8 reps
Week 4 - 5-6
And repeat 3 times

My split would possibly be:
Day 1: Chest and Triceps
Day 2: Back and biceps
Day 3: Legs and calves
Day 4: Shoulders, Traps and Abs
Day 5: Arms (still comtemplating adding this but arms are a big weakness)

Any advice would be appreciated...even if you just think this is a completely shit idea and I should just continue with PHAT haha

Yea man you want to bust your ass, run juggeranut. I am currently running it over a L/P/P split so I am getting through the 16 week program in 9-10 weeks. check out my thread, I am almost done with the program and will be t.esting maxes in early July

Had never heard of that before.

Have read a PDF and a couple articles online and like the focus on the deadlift, squat, bench, military press and sort of understand the waves and phases, but am still pretty dam confused about it all.

Do you guys know of any articles that would be helpful for me to work it all out?
