Not another PHAT question.. :(10009

Hey everyone, I hate to do it but I have a couple of questions regarding PHAT. I’m loving PHAT so far, been lean bulking for 2.5 months now and modified a few things from Layne’s PHAT to my PHAT (added abs to all non-leg days and switched some exercises for ones I prefer). My question is regarding chest/arms day. I personally think it’s too much for 1 gym session considering I added abs to it as well and I would really appreciate some advice/feedback. Is it too much for 1 session? Should I remove triceps from here and add it to leg hypertrophy day? I will be bulking for another 9.5 months followed by a 6 month cut and will take it from there. End goal is to be shredded and compete one day. Here’s what it looks like:

(all in lbs – weight/reps)

CHEST
Flat bench press (105x12 125x10 145x8)
Incline dumbbell presses (50x12 55x10 55x8)
Hammer strength chest press (80x15 100x12 100x12)
Incline dumbbell flyes (15x20 20x15)
Cable flyes (30x12 30x10 40x8) – I added this exercise

BIS
Barbell curls..not in the squat rack (55x12 55x10 60x8)
Incline dumbbell curls (15x12 15x10)
Seated EZ Bar curls (20x11 20x8 20x7)

TRIS
Dips (15 12 – bodyweight for now)
Dumbbell kickbacks (15x20 20x15)
Rope pulldown (60x12 70x10 70x8)

ABS
4 sets leg raises (12 10 8 6)
4 sets rope crunch (140x12 155x10 170x8 185x6)

If your volume is too much or not depends on you dude.

BUT i would add Abs to leg/deadlift days.

Why did u add cable flyes? And also just add in abs like twice a week..

Thanks for the input, I'll consider adding abs to legs but I'm skeptical because normally after leg day I can't walk so doing abs might be tough. Hopefully I get other opinions

@Thisisscotty Added cable flyes because I don't like only doing 4 exercises for chest (psychological thing) so I made it 5

As for abs it's 3x/week atm.. as suggested by @Flo1307 I may just add it to leg day and it'll end up being 2x/week

cut the volume if you feel its too much. Personnally i'd go with 1 or 2 sets less than what you're doing per body part

@flexdec I like that idea actually, I could just trim down some sets and see how I feel. Like I said earlier it's all psychological, I always think I should be doing more Nevertheless, thanks for the advice

its when i started doing less and focusing on progression more than volume that i started having really noticable gains

@flexdec When you say 1 or 2 sets less per body part do you mean per exercise or 1 or 2 less per body part??

ok sry for the dumb question.. I'll try that out next week and I'm pretty sure doing a set or 2 less will let me focus more on form etc, thanks again

I would personally remove:

Hammer strength chest press (80x15 100x12 100x12)

and one of the fyles

Incline dumbbell flyes (15x20 20x15)
Cable flyes (30x12 30x10 40x8)

and go from there.
