If you want to get faster, do legs one day and sprints another. One-legged leg press is awesome for one-foot jumps and also for speed. 5X5 leg press is great for vertical jump too. Once you start doing sprints you'll start seeing your BF% drop even more and that will help you become more explosive as well.
