***Post workout Carbs, Ben Paukulski.** FiremanSi 12 6 yearseknight (58109): Would like to respond/agree/add to the above. I see a lot of guys at my gym who like to pick my brain or ask lots of really good questions and it's cool that they're so enthusiastic, but sometimes I really want to say, "lighten up Francis!" I'm the first guy to throw out studies or literature to back my perspective, but I agree with the above that some of the articles out there are great to get you thinking and helping you understand...
Post Session Recovery MCarey 7 6 yearscatstrat (4): Make sure the stretching isnt too rigourous bro, you dont want to further damage the muscles (weight lifting is 'good damage'). Like Massthetics said, cold water is best now. It will stop any internal bruising and reduce inflammation which will reduce the pain. In a couple of days have a good slow warm up and stretch and youll be fine.
Post workout drink??? Arodlopez 5 7 yearsAmy0582 (373): Try it, why not? It was free. But, as others said, you don't really need to buy it.
Post Gym Carbs red66mustang Jump to first page45Jump to last page 7 yearsMrMailliw (4494): Which is exactly why it seems like Greg Plitt is correct in saying so because people who do not yet know better - like yourself, no offence :) - will see good gains on a program and attribute some of the success to restoring glycogen stores ASAP, even though it makes no difference at all. See what I mean? Broscience gets the same results or worse, in a lot of cases, but takes more effort and puts random stupid rules on your life that will...
Eating after workout- Centopani Zyzzst 10 7 yearsZyzzst (4486): he was talking about meal timing, and like he says earlier in the video he wouldnt recommend anyone do what he does or any other bodybuilder does....he tells you to find out for yourself what works for you and stick to it, because different things work for different people.

post work out carbs Seller Jump to first page44Jump to last page 7 yearseknight (58109): I've even read a couple of studies that indicate drinking a shake too quickly after training (ie, one hour) can DECREASE protein synthesis by up to 30%. If I can locate them I'll post links. -3X
Work recovery tips to workout B7AC 7 7 yearsB7AC (64): @MrMailliw I sweat a lot -_-. @Christf & @stewie It's hard but I'll try to stay awake.
wait 1 hour for post workout carbs? Chris 3 7 yearseknight (58109): It's not exactly broscience. High carb diets- and carbs in general- do decrease GH production because of the presence of insulin. High doses or constant doses of insulin can decrease the cell's sensitivity to GH. However, having said all of that, insulin is more anabolic than GH and pwo, many people want to replenish glycogen stores. Plus, carbs provide a pathway for aminos to the muscles. This is one of those things that has to be taken in...
Pre and post workout??? sweatorgohome1 2 7 yearsadam82a (3100): It depends on your macro's and what you have eaten earlier and what you plan to eat later. Myself, however, am quite satisfied with chicken and rice (or oats) after working out and just what I had for lunch will do as pre-meal.
Post workout supplement question kospel 4 7 yearsdwatson (26511): Basically yes. Nutrition timing isn't as important as we make it IF you hit your macros earlier on in the day. Otherwise i would strongly reccommend getting it post workout.
