Give them something that they're not accustomed to. Also, try hit them 3x a week eg mon wed fri. 4 sets standing 3 sets seated.

Always squeeze your shoulder blades together and keep them together through the whole motion. Try to feel the motion when your chest does most of the movement.

A more general rule that I try to follow is doing the same amount of reps for back that I do for chest. For example, if I'm going to do 25 reps on the bench I'm going to try to get around the same amount of reps of pulling or rowing exercises.
