Lower back (please help) acoble02 2 1 yearFishbulb (28): Haven't checked this site in away, hence the delay...Do direct work on your hips, glutes, hamstrings religiously. I'm the only guy in the gym who uses the adductor / abductor machines as well as the glute/hamstring kickback machine (where the cable is around your ankle), in addition to my normal leg day stuff (squats, split squats, ham stuff, unfortunately I don't do deads anymore, etc). Throw in some glute bridges - one leg and two - and...
Pec Tear = Comp prep over. Continue shred? skinnykant 8 3 yearsMick_MPH (1): @skinnykant There are many variables that will be at play to continue a cut and retain your muscle - You said you increased your calories. Go up to baseline and leave calories there for atleast 2 weeks. Due to being in a deficit for so long your metabolic rate would of slowed. Not only this you will re-sensitize hormonal balance. Studies show re-feeds don't have to much of effect on the metabolic system. You need food increased for a longer...

As Ive read studies on androgen receptors, and muscle cell stress, that apparently they could become desensitized and so you need to "shock the body" dont know if this is true. PROGRESS AND ANALYSIS A7102009 12 4 yearseknight (58109): Well, the Lauver, et al study only demonstrated a difference in EMG activity of the upper pecs with a sustained isometric contraction, but not with dynamic movement, if I'm reading that correctly, so I'm not sure that it has a pertinent carryover to using the incline bench to "target" that area. -3X

How to fix rounded shoulders airawear 1 4 yearsairawear (4): Full blog post: How To Fix Rounded Shoulders Hey guys, Some of us have been hunching forward for a huge part of our lives because of the way we work. This is especially so if you have been working in front of the computer for a large part of your life (studying, working, playing games etc.) As a result of this hunching, you may have developed rounded shoulders, causing your posture to be hunched forward. In this post, I am going to...

Ab Exercises for Fused Spine xckks 3 4 yearskickinchicken (8717): Do not use and bending or twisting movements whatsoever. You should be focusing on your core and lower back strength. The anterior abdominal muscular development will follow at it's own pace for now. leg raises, planks, etc are best. Also, focus on pelvic flexibility to help reduce the need to bend your back and place added stress on it. Just google pelvic or hip mobility exercises. Joe Defranco has some good stuff on youtube.

Right tricep everyday soreness. Help needed George1234 2 5 yearsDevley (1): Cold should always be after working out. Could be tendonitis. I know this thread is a little old. Any luck? Changing nutrition and starting a routine Kind 10 5 yearsBeans (4204): @Kind all calculators will give a different value, what really matters is just picking one, trying it, and adjusting accordingly. They're all just guidelines, chances are most of them won't be spot on what you need. You CAN take into account lean body mass, but again, it doesn't necessarily mean it's more accurate. Plus, you're just adding an extra layer of guessing. Personally, I'd go with the lower end of your BMR calcs to start off since...

Patella pain when squatting kozzletoff 25 5 yearseknight (58109): @lauralovestolift there's no such thing as a VMO exercise though. There are quad exercises. They all work the VMO; they also all work the other three heads. It's incorrect to advise someone to attempt to work such a specific area of the quads. You either work them all or you don't, unless you're going to hook up Russian ESTIM while doing quad sets. Insofar as the knee valgus, the picture you linked demonstrates just that. Please help! Torn ACL! Need exercise advice dgevurtz 3 6 yearsDevley (1): Agreed, rest now and heal properly. I have heard many stories of re-injury and worse for ware after. Listen to the doctor and follow advise. Work your way back in slowly and always treat with cold after to avoid inflammation from building up. The knee has sch little blood flow to begin with, you do not want to obstruct that unnecessarily.

Yeah, I do agree with you, however, I also do think additional ab work can help strengthen my core, benefitting my compound lifts in a positive way. Squat back pain Piggles 7 7 yearsPiggles (226): I've been SQ/DL'ing for about a 1.5 years, but recently took some time off to do an Ironman, now building back up my lifts. I think that during this time my hamstrings have tightened up a lot which is giving me trouble squatting. The back pain is generally the night after squatting, or the day after. It's not terrible pain, but severe tightness. It's on both sides at the bottom of my erector spinae muscles medial of the iliac crest.

Deload during a cut Shezza94 2 8 yearsOhhLoLo (3393): You could do a deload week or maybe just a deload day for legs (because of your toe). I thought you were saying "invincible" at first, so I was going "wait, wat the faq he means like the invincible spiderman or something?" and then I saw that you probably meant to say invisible, so i hit my forehead. so if a scar is invisible, then apparently no one can see it, because it's invisible. i can't grasp the idea of this product.
Pinched Nerve asianpower 8 9 yearshaole (2109): I have had a pinched nerve in my neck a few times. I think it was caused by doing shrugs but I'm not sure. I think they usually go away after about two weeks.
