form and intensity thephenomenon 15 4 yearsrememberthis (556): Is it even worth mentioning that, through your premise, you might as well bang your head against the wall with top intensity to train legs?
Training to Failure w/o Partner nine0seven 7 5 yearsJelet (2190): You dont need to go to failure. And your only need a training partner to help get the weights up as a lift off(help on the first rep so your not curling 120lbs on db shoulder press to get it up etc to heavy exercises like dumbbell shoulder press or flat dumbbell chest press. But just go lighter and short rest times on the shoulder presses and do incline chest press instead and you should be fine. No need for training partner
When to train to Failure nine0seven 2 5 yearsFrostshock (13324): There ya go champ, I personally don't like the mehod. Also lifting 7 days a week is nowhere near optimal lol Cliff Notes: Isolation movements in the higher rep ranges Make your Failure sets your last Should be used to gauge progress and strength Can be counterproductive if used incorrectly Should not be used on consecutive days Don't use failure for Sheiko

* TUT fans quick video here... THOUGHTS ??? FiremanSi 7 6 yearsjonrivs49 (3001): I follow what you can call normal temp. I think 4 sec temp is to slow. 2 sec is more acceptable i think. As long as you feel the rep and your form is good. Thats what tut really invented for to make good form and not just banging the bar up and down.
can benching with a dl bar lose reps? Strongboi 2 6 yearsStrongboi (79): & i mean a new rep pr in decline press! not regular :)
train to failure golagol Jump to first page38Jump to last page 6 yearsfLx_ (865): LOl at 4:22, got a good laugh. Maybe always training to failure isnt the optimal, but i go to the gym to feel the burn like people did oldschool. I personally think my workouts would get more boring if i didnt push my self to the last rep, so it helps me enjoy my workouts more Everything doesnt always have to be the optimal """just my 0.02""""
Going to failure on the rep out sets of 531 Shezza94 12 7 yearsSRorhrbac0808 (47098): Shoot. I been doing 531 stuff for a while and maxes are really going up nice... Ill know here in a few weeks just how much gain I have gotten. But yeah. On the last sets I usually leave 1 rep in the tank. But on ohp and bench I go to failure. And I usually don't deload every 4 weeks like it says and deload about every 9 weeks.
so training to failure is not good? GregC Jump to first page47Jump to last page 7 yearspandasashi (3859): @In4gainZ , go home, ur drunk.
Negatives, partials, failure and etc In4gainZ 11 7 yearseknight (58109): You can add bands or chains if you have them. How fast? Honestly, I'd approach it as "no matter how fast I move the bar, it's not fast enough." Be as explosive as possible. There are some YouTube vids of DE days around to gauge speed as well. -3X
Training to failure on PHAT Jordan336 1 7 yearsJordan336 (7): Has anybody here trained to failure when working a muscle 2x a week and still made progress?
Sets to FAILURE brian12 Jump to first page35Jump to last page 7 yearsDragonian (4951): usually go to failure on my last set of the last exercise i often anihilate a muscle, people wil argue differently but no pussy ass shit training for me i enter the gym and destroy but it depends how fresh im feeling on the day and how i feel my recovery is going each weak but intensity techniques like fst7 etc eventually do take a toll on your body so its not something id persist on doing for multiple weeks in a row just every couple of...
