Abdominal skinfold at 10% body fat?18866

Is there a sort of general consensus on what the abdominal skinfold measurement should be at around 10% body fat? Talking about the classic vertical fold taken around 2 cm to the right of the umbilicus.

Obviously it'll vary since everyone stores fat differently, so the question could be better put by asking what the absolute largest measurement should be at 10%.

According to this chart, the maximum would be 11 mm:

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

You want to squabble over millimeters? *millimeters*?

?

I was merely curious about the range. Nothing wrong with it?

Guess it's safe to assume that it should be at 11mm or below.

I'm not sure I'd trust a chart that labels 11% bf as excellent for women, when 13% is often the cut off for essential levels. -3X

I see, thanks.

So what are your thoughts on the abdominal measurement for men at 10% bf?

I think there's not any absolute value. Don't sweat the minuscule details. -3X

Oh ok. I was just expecting there was a general consensus such as "a 10% bf male should generally not have an ab skinfold over X mm".

The way it looks like, there probably isn't such a rule.

Thanks for your input.
